Sonora Sunrise Natural Top Cabochon c1917

  • 30 x 12 x 4-6 mm
  • Natural Top.
  • This gorgeous material is from Mexico.

In stock

This cab of Sonora Sunrise has a natural top, just the way it was found in nature.  You can see the three colors that made this material so popular and coveted, plus some quartz.  The red is cuprite, the blue is chrysocolla and the black is tenorite. Annnd if you take a closer peek you can see strands of malachite. Cut into a tab shape, the sides and bottom are polished and ready to be bezel set.  Or tab set. Or prong set. This one isn’t for the faint of heart though. It’s the kind of stone that I would enjoy setting.

Hi! I’m Stacie and I cut smalls.  My cabochons are cut with a metalsmith in mind.  The back is flat and lightly polished. Although the cabs are small; wire wrappers are enjoying them as well.  All measurements are approximate and measured at the widest points.  Some of my cabs are domed and some are flattish.  Some have a glossy polish and some are matte finished by hand.  Appreciate the uniqueness of an artist cut cabochon.

Thank you for stopping by and considering adopting one of my rocks! If I can answer any questions drop me a message using the contact form or send a DM through IG.
