Doublet  cab with a color shift

I love making doublets.  A doublet is two slabs of rock molecularly bonded together into one.  I’ve taken this age old technique and used it artistically as a way for the background to make the foreground ‘pop’. The top is a beautiful Stinking Water Plume Agate and the back is Black Jasper. The magic in the middle gives the effect of shifting color depending on the angle viewed.   A doublet like this allows so much depth to be seen in the top stone. She has plumes of white swimming in a pool of clear agate.

What makes Azoho Cabs special?

Hi! I’m Stacie and I cut smalls.  My cabochons are cut with a metalsmith in mind.  The back is flat and lightly polished. Although the cabs are small; wire wrappers enjoy them as well.  All measurements are approximate and measured at the widest points.  Some of my cabs are domed and some are flattish.  Some have a glossy polish and some are matte finished by hand.  Appreciate the uniqueness of an artist cut cabochon.
